As a co-founder of Bonnefield, Wally has supported the development of the firm’s offering to the agricultural community. He continues to support Bonnefield’s investment team and is a member of Bonnefield’s Farmland Investment Committee.

Wally’s passion for farming and his understanding of farm operators—their challenges, opportunities and sensibilities—comes directly from experience. He was raised on a farm in Carp, Ontario, which he subsequently purchased in 2000, and continued to operate as a cash crop and cow/calf beef business until 2007.

Prior to Bonnefield, Wally spent several years in construction and engineering, as well as real estate. He is a licensed real estate broker and previously built and managed a 30-person real estate office.
