Richard has responsibility and oversight for finance, compliance, human resources and information technology at Bonnefield. He is also a member of Bonnefield's Investment Committee. Richard has nearly 25 years of experience in the financial services industry with emphasis in investment and wealth management.
Prior to joining Bonnefield, Richard was CFO at a leading distributor and investment fund manager of education savings solutions with over $5 billion in assets under management. Prior to that Richard was CFO of one of Canada’s largest and fastest-growing independent investment fund managers with over $13 billion in assets under management at the time. Richard also has over eight years of public accounting experience with Deloitte LLP in the assurance and business advisory practice where he provided audit and consulting services.

Wally’s passion for farming and his understanding of farm operators – their challenges, opportunities and sensibilities – comes directly from experience. He was raised on a farm in Carp, Ontario, which he subsequently purchased in 2000, and continued to operate as a cash crop and cow/calf beef business until 2007.

Prior to Bonnefield, Wally spent several years in construction and engineering, as well as real estate. He is a licensed real estate broker and previously built and managed a  30-person real estate office.

In his role as Property Manager, Sean is responsible for the management of Bonnefield's Eastern Canadian farmland properties.

Sean grew up on a small farm outside of Stanley, New Brunswick. With the farm fostering a love of all things living, he attended the University of New Brunswick obtaining a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. Upon graduation, he began working in an agricultural microbiology lab testing seed potatoes for provincial certification as well as assisting in research projects investigating transmission of PVY.

Sean previously worked at the Agriculture Technology start-up Resson Aerospace as their Agronomy Operations Manager. This position consisted of planning and executing numerous projects in Canada, the United States, and India regarding the building of detection algorithms for plant diseases. This role had him working with farmers from very different sectors, growing a wide variety of crops.

Bhushan is responsible for portfolio management and asset optimization activities relating to Bonnefield's farmland funds.

Previously, Bhushan was an Associate Director within the Investments team at Willis Towers Watson in Toronto and was responsible for managing the investment portfolios of their Canadian delegated/OCIO clients across multiple asset classes. Prior to this, Bhushan worked in Willis Towers Watson's Melbourne office where he provided investment consulting services to institutional clients across Australia.

Shawn has a passion for Sustainable Agriculture, having spent much of his youth working on his family’s vegetable farm in Dominica, and being involved in biodiversity and taxonomic research at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. He has since pursued knowledge in the agricultural industry internationally and locally, earning his Associates Degree in General Agronomy at the Dominican State College, followed by his Bachelors in Agricultural Business and Economics at Dalhousie University.

Previously, Shawn worked as the lead agronomic advisor at Kenna with BASF, which consisted of planning and implementing tailor-made farming solutions for eastern and western Canadian farmers. Shawn brings an abundance of knowledge, charisma and experience to this role.

Lee is responsible for managing Bonnefield's IT infrastructure and technological growth. With more than 10 years experience in IT, Lee is driven towards developing strategies to boost overall internal productivity across all major IT and data platforms. 
                                                                                                                                                                                                Previously, Lee worked as an IT Systems Analyst at Colonnade Investments where his main focus was developing internal IT tools and supporting their Data Platform. Prior to this, Lee was the IT Systems Administrator for the Ottawa-born eco-friendly department store, terra20, where he built and managed the organization's IT infrastructure and data platform from the ground up since the store's inception in 2012.
