TORONTO Canada, July 8, 2016 – For the second consecutive year Bonnefield Financial has earned an “A” rating from the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (UN-PRI) for its overarching approach to responsible investment.
The UN-PRI is a network of global investors committed to working together to put principles of responsible investing into practice. Signatories follow a set of six principles that protect the environment, benefit society, and promote sound governance through integrity and transparent reporting. As part of their commitment, signatories agree to an annual assessment of these principles.
“Bonnefield’s approach has always been one of responsible investing,” said Tom Eisenhauer, Bonnefield’s president. “As a UN-PRI signatory, we have the means to collaborate with a larger group of investors to continue to move the benchmark on how investors support positive social outcomes while pursuing competitive financial returns.”
Bonnefield became a signatory to UN-PRI in December 2014, the first farmland investment management company in Canada to do so.
