OTTAWA, Canada, April 14, 2015 –Bonnefield congratulates our own Steve Kaminski who has been awarded the Governor General’s Caring Canadian Award. Created 20 years ago, the award recognizes living Canadians and permanent residents who have made a significant, sustained, unpaid contribution to their community, in Canada or abroad.
Steve was honoured for his work on The Ottawa Hospital Foundation’s board of directors. For more than 20 years, Steve has been an active philanthropist and community fundraiser. His vision and strong understanding of finances have been instrumental in developing a successful strategic approach to fundraising in support of research.
Her Excellency Sharon Johnston presented the award to Steve and other recipients during a ceremony held at the Hospital yesterday, Monday April 13, 2015.
